ROBBINSTON, Maine — Downeast LNG, Inc. (Downeast) has announced it has signed a letter of agreement with CB&I (NYSE:CBI) to work collaboratively to secure the phased development, design and construction of the Downeast project at Mill Cove in Robbinston, Maine, on Passamaquoddy Bay.
DOWNEAST LNG (DELNG) announced today that it has submitted its pre-filing request yesterday July 23, 2014 with the Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to develop an estimated $2 billion bi-directional LNG facility at its proposed location in Robbinston, Maine. The facility will be able to liquefy natural gas for export as LNG and regasify imported LNG, as the market requires.
Downeast LNG (DELNG) announced today that it is planning to develop a bi-directional LNG facility at its proposed location in Robbinston, Maine, meaning that it will be able to handle both the import and export of natural gas. The proposed project will have the ability to liquefy 2 million tons of LNG (270 mmcfd of gas) per year or regasify 100 mmcfd of LNG, as market conditions warrant.
